Seventeen years of scribing
Art Baby Blue · The Archive
Seventeen years of scribing, two pages a day.
Every bar is one month across two journals kept side by side. Same mornings, different pieces — of 2,237 posts, only eight share a title. The flat stretch in the middle is a silence that lasted 545 days.
Three eras
The sparse years
Fewer than two hundred pieces across a decade, spread thin over both journals. Months would pass, then a burst, then nothing. In December 2014 the writing stopped entirely and did not return until the summer of 2016.
It becomes a practice
Something turned over in June 2020. Volume climbed month after month until April 2021 landed 93 pieces across the two journals — more in a single month than the first eight years combined.
The unbroken run
July 2022 opened a streak that has not closed. Through 2024 the writing arrived twice most days, on both pages, for twelve straight months. The pace has since eased to a steadier dozen or so a month, and the run itself is still going.
Start anywhere. It all leads back to the same place.
